I was born and raised in Hiroshima. I went to college in Hawaii where I met my husband and together we have lived in many places in Japan and the United States. I enjoyed learning how to cook simple meals with local ingredients, and the taste and flavor of those dishes would make me fall in love with each place we lived. Cooking these meals even now brings me back so many fond memories.  

I am a mother of six. I used to work as an architect as I raised my children over the past ten years. I've learned how to prepare simple but delicious and nutritious meals while balancing my work and home life.  I also know what it feels like to be a foreign mom, or just navigating life in another country.  I have been asked by several non-Japanese friends how to shop or get around Japan.  So I offer guided grocery tours, cooking classes as well as translation help. I can make living in Japan easy for you!
